SFA's undergraduate literary journal, HUMID, is seeking submissions from currently enrolled SFA undergraduates for its 18th edition.
Submissions can include fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, one-act plays, and excerpts from graphic novels and screenplays. Multilingual submissions are accepted with an English translation of the work.

Submission Guidelines
You may submit in multiple genres. You may submit no more than 3 total submissions.
Limits:
5,000 word prose (fiction/nonfiction/etc.) maximum - which may include multiple works of prose up to 5,000 words per author (So one long piece or a couple short pieces of prose.)
3 poem maximum
3 art image maximum
How to submit:
Submit all text documents as downloadable email attachments using Microsoft Word in blind files (see instructions below).
Art must be printable and must be 300 dpi or higher quality. Art must be titled (even if that title is "Untitled #1"). Use the title of your art as your file name. Include art statements of <200 words with your submission as an attached file. If your art is selected to be published, we will publish these art statements as well. Your art statement and your art should be blind files (see instructions below).
Blind Files
Your submissions should be anonymous.
DO NOT include your name on your work files. Submissions should be "blind" document attachments. Also make sure you blind the metadata. In Word, choose File>Properties>Summary>and delete the "Author" field.
Permissions
By submitting to HUMID, you are granting permission to publish your work in the annual HUMID print journal, the online journal, and on our website. Upon publication, all rights revert to the authors and artists.
Decisions
Acceptances and rejections will be sent via email in October. Please keep in mind that rejections may be for reasons other than quality - similarity to other accepted work, page length, and adherence to the theme also play a role in our decisions.
